A very good unique Second World War period aircraft badges, handmade from salvaged metal possibly from a crashed aeroplane or a silver coin and skillfully made into a pair of very attractive earrings, the reverse of each with sprung catch impressed "Silver". A scarce original circa 1940's 'RAF Hurricane Fighter Plane badge', gilded brass stylized aircraft, the fuselage inlaid with black enamelling, the wings in red. Very good condition, retaining original pin fitting and hooked catch, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, an exceptionally good example.

A scarce original circa mid 1940's commercially made 'London Airport badge' in the form of a gilded brass 'Hawker Hurricane plane' bearing red, white and blue enamel roundels with an applied enamel shield depicting an early view of the control tower.
