WW2 Bristol Blenheim aircraft deco style badge c1940s

A scarce original early 1940's deco style badge in the form of a gilded brass 'Bristol Blenheim Aircraft' superimposed on sky blue enamel roundel. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel perfect, minor wear to gilt finish.
Height 22mm.
Wingspan 38mm.

The 'Bristol Blenheim' was a 'Royal Air Force' light bomber aircraft, built by the Bristol Aeroplane Company and named 'Britain First'. It took its maiden flight in 1935 and was extensively used in the first two years of the Second World War.
