A rare original Second World War civilian pilot's unmarked silver ATA pin badge bearing the motto 'Aetheris Avidi' (Eager for the Air), the reverse impressed with official issue number 'D 1756'. Very good condition, retaining the original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch correct for this badge, roller now absent, but not affecting the functioning of the hook.

A rare original Second World War period 'Air Transport Auxiliary button'; large black composition lined example bearing 'ATA' letters surmounted by an Astral Crown; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.Grove & Sons Halesowen'. Very good condition, complete with brass shank, small hole to reverse.
