A good original pre 1948 early King George V period 'London County Council gilt brass nurses medal' in the form of a red cross, blue enamel title circlet and 'HOME NURSING' across the centre, the reverse inscribed to the recipient 'ROSE GABELL 26-4-11'. Very good condition, complete with original suspension ring and navy blue silk ribbon, gilt finish remains bright.
