WW2 Air Transport Auxiliary ATA silver and enamel badge

A rare original Second World War period 'Air Transport Auxiliary civilian woman pilot's ATA pin badge bearing the motto 'Aetheris Avidi' (Eager for the Air), the reverse impressed 'SILVER'. Very good condition, complete the original pin fittings incorporating safety roller catch in good working order, no stress marks or damage to the enamel.
Height 29mm.
Air Transport Auxiliary’s headquarters was at White Waltham airfield near Maidenhead from February 1940 until 30th November 1945.
