Edward VIII 1937 Coronation Union Flag commemorative badge by Stratton

A scarce original Edward VIII badge produced for the proposed Coronation in 1937 that never took place, in the form of a chromium plated patriotic red and blue enamelled 'Union Flag', the centre with circular recess designed to hold a stuck in plastic photographic portrait of the King; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Stratton Birmingham'. Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, minor surface scratches.
