Birmingham & District Prisoner of War Association lapel badge c.1940

A very scarce original circa Second World War period 'Birmingham & District Prisoner of War Association badge'; gilt brass blue enamel horseshoe title surround, the centre bearing a wartime 'Red Cross & Order of St John crest' barbed wire fencing and an early red a blue representation of the Coat of Arms of Birmingham granted on 3rd April 1889, on white enamel ground. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, enamel perfect except for a very minor stress mark to lower left scroll.
