WW1 2nd London Regiment Royal Fusiliers Pair of Medals

Awarded to 'GS-71402 PTE H N MEDLER 2-LOND R'.
Comprising: British War Medal and Victory Medal, complete with original silk ribbons.
Accompanied by Registered envelope for the medals addressed 41 Waterloo Road Uxbridge.

Private Herbert Medler originally enlisted into the Royal Flying Corps, serving on Home Establishment, he requested a transfer to the Infantry on the 22nd November 1917 and joined the 2nd Bn London Regiment embarking to France earning the BWM and VM. He was later attached to the Royal Fusiliers and was reported wounded on the 7th October 1918. His next of kin given as living in Uxbridge.
