Maginot Line Ligne Maginot On Ne Passe Pas badge by F. Fraisse Demey

A rare original circa 1940's Second World War period 'On Ne Passe Pas Ligne Maginot pin badge', substantially made die-stamped brass disc depicting an embossed uniformed French Soldier with arms stretched out with a map of France in the background and titled 'On Ne Passe Pas'; the front rim bearing French maker's details 'F. Fraisse Demey' (a notable Parisian decorative arts atelier and manufacturer). Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting, minimal service wear, now toned.

The Maginot Line named after the French Minister of War Andre Maginot fortifications were built from 1928 to 1940 by the French government for the protection of French borders.
