WW2 Royal Navy Attributed 40th Anniversary Soviet Russian Commemoration Medal
This medal was awarded to Mr F Bennet of Oswestry Shropshire in 1991.
The commemorative medal is contained in original box and complete with certificate, this with ink name Bennet.
Accompanied by a Ministry of Pensions Naval Pay & Pensions Accounts letter dated 25th January 1992 confirming the award to Mr Bennet and regulations for wearing.
The 40th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945 medal was original awarded by the Soviet Government in 1985.
This was extended to foreign nationals who had aided Russia in the defeat of Germany. Royal Navy and Merchant Navy personnel who had participated in the perils Artic Convoys fowling the permission of Queen Elizabeth II in 1994 were permitted to receive the award. It became known as the Artic Convoy Medal
