A scarce original First World War period British made 'Frances Day 1917 pin badge' worn by a volunteer collecting to support French soldiers, war orphans, and relief efforts, in the form white metal rimmed disc, the centre bearing an embossed head and shoulder profile of the 'French National Symbol 'Marianne' wearing the 'Cap of Liberty'; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Bolton'. Good condition, complete with original pin fitting.
