A scarce original circa 1905 -1921 early slim sheet brass SMALL pattern fleur-de-lys 'Baden Powell Trained Army Scouts 1st Class service dress sleeve badge' chosen by Colonel Baden Powell when he introduced scouting in the Army whilst out in South Africa commanding the 5th Dragoon Guards circa 1897. The first official mention traced is in Army Order of 1905. Very good toned condition, complete with original two loop fittings and split pin.
Height approx 47mm.
