British and Commonwealth Shipping Line Company officers cap badge

A good ORIGINAL post 1956 period 'British and Commonwealth Shipping Line Company unissued cap badge', gold bullion naval crowned laurel wreath on black woolen backing, gold sea-lion to central circlet on black velvet ground, the reverse with black hessian lining. Very good mint condition.
Height approx 75mm.
The British & Commonwealth Shipping Company was established in 1956 through the merger of Clan Line Steamers and Union-Castle, it entered into administration in the late 1980s.
