Cunard White Star Line officers gold bullion cap badge c.1940

A rare original circa 1940's period 'Cunard-White Star Line Officer's cap badge', the Company coat of arms in gilt metal 'a lion holding a globe its hind leg resting upon a torse' within a padded King's Crown gold bullion wreath, the reverse with black hessian lining. Good condition, bullion and gilt finish now toned.
Height approx 68mm.
