A scarce original early 20th century period 'Co-operative Wholesale Society C.W.S Fire Brigade uniform button'; convex gilt example depicting a large corn sheaf flanked by farm sickle and spade and bearing the motto 'Labor And Wait'; the reverse with maker's details 'Special Quality'. Good condition, complete with original shank, manufacturers flaw line right side, gilt finish now toned.
