A very rare original First World War period 'Voluntary Aid Detachment VAD General Service Scottish Branch large embroidered felt cloth badge'; white embroidered thistle wreath resting on 'Scottish Branch' scroll, central 'V.A.D. General Service' circlet bearing a 'Red Cross'. Very good condition, complete with black paper backing.
