T. and T. Vicars On War Service Badge Earlestown Newton-le-Willows Lancs

A very scarce original First World War period 'On War Service identification badge'; crowned gilt title circlet inlaid with blue enamel, the stippled gilt centre depicting an embossed patriotic 'Union Jack Flag' with 'On War Service' below; the reverse impressed with early maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Skipton & Bolton' and 'Reg.638232' a registered, design and patent date of 1914. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no stress or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
