A scarce original circa 1940's period 'Girl Guides Tawny Owl assistant leader badge'; gilt brass example inlaid with light tan brown translucent enamel, depicting a beautiful feathered wise owl; the reverse impressed with make's details 'Wylie & Co London and 'Reg.No.68385' Registration, Design and Patent number for the year 1921 -1922.' Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel.
