British Red Cross Society Dumfriesshire Honorary Vice President Medal Scotland

A very scarce original circa 1940's period 'British Red Cross Society Vice-President and Honorary Vice-President Officer pin badge'; crowned oval gilt metal example bearing red cross on white enamel ground within title surround; mounted on a maroon watered silk ribbon with one star denoting rank and suspended from a white enamel 'DUMFRIESSHIRE' bar; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.GAUNT LONDON'. Very good condition, contained in original cardboard box, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel.
