British Red Cross Society Warwickshire Honorary Vice President Medal

A very scarce original circa 1940's period 'British Red Cross Society Vice-President and Honorary Vice-President badge'; crowned oval gilt metal example bearing red cross on white enamel ground within title surround; mounted on a maroon watered silk ribbon the single star denoting rank NOW ABSENT and suspended from a white enamel 'WARWICKSHIRE' bar; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.GAUNT LONDON'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel.
