1951 National Competitive Music Festival London & Home Counties Area Finalist Badge

A very scarce original '1951 National Competitive Music Festival London & Home Counties Area Finalist pin badge', large gilt metal blue enamel title surround with additional scroll below 'AREA FINALIST', the centre bearing the embossed emblem designed by 'Abram Games' which depicts the profile of Britannia's head with crested helmet on the north point of a four-pointed compass rose, inlaid with enamel in the traditional red, white and blue colours of the Union Flag. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no enamel loss, an excellent example.
