Queen's University Veterans Corps Belfast 1914 Silver VTC Badge Ireland

A rare original First World War period 'Queen's University Belfast Veterans Volunteer Training Corps silver and enamel badge'; Crowned blue enamel title surround, the centre displaying the coat of arms of the irish University; the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1914 and maker's details 'W.J.D.' (William James Dingley Warstone Lane, Birmingham) and retailed through 'S.D. NEILL LTD BELFAST' which is stamped to the lapel. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no enamel loss.
