Boer War Prisoner of War POW 1903 Wooden Trick Shoe

A rare original piece of Boer War Art in the form of a slender stylish ladies buttoned boot possibly made from Bermuda cedarwood, carved to one side 'POW. 1903'; the slide opening to top once triggered a snake which rose up by way of a string and touched your finger making you jump, sadly this snake now lies dormant and needs some attention.
Height approx 59mm.
