Primrose League War Service badge c.WW1

A rare original circa First World War period small gilt eight pointed star with superimposed red Maltese Cross, central 'Imperium Et Libertas' motto circlet with 'PL' monogram and white enamel 'War Service' title scroll below. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no enamel loss, minor stress lines to top arm, gilt finish remains bright.
Height approx 21mm.
