Guy Motors Ltd Air Raid Precautions ARP Badge Wolverhampton

An extremely rare original Second World War period 'Guy Motors Limited air raid precautions badge'; in the form of a large chromium plated Crowned shield bearing embossed 'A.R.P' to top half on seeded ground and large 'G' with 'Guy Motors Limited' logo inlaid with red enamel to the lower; the the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Marples & Beasley Birmingham' and official low issue number '82'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, enamel perfect.
Height approx 42mm.
'Guy Motors' was a Wolverhampton-based vehicle manufacturer that produced cars, lorries, buses and trolleybuses.
