George Spence Melvin Song Badge by Miller

A very scarce original circa 1931 - 1934 period 'George Spence Melvin song badge'; miniature gilt stretched head depicting a portrayal of the pantomine dam, wearing a Crown inlaid with black, white and red enamel; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'MILLER 118 BRANSTON ST B'HAM'. Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, minor enamel stress marks to neck and chin.
Height approx 25mm.
There are two version of the Melvin song badge, the other with him wearing a monocle and without a crown. His well known hit song at the time was 'I'm Happy When I'm Hiking c1931.
