1924 British Empire Exhibition Wembley London participants badge
A scarce original 1924 period '1924 British Empire Exhibition pin badge on original display card' large gilt brass example inlaid with red, white and blue enamels, in the form of a flower head, depicting the names of the Colonies from around the world participating in the exhibition in petal form with rotating hand as a pointer, mounted by the 'Wembley Lion' resting on curved top scroll 'British Empire' with 'Exhibition 1924' below; the reverse impressed with details in relief 'Prov.Patent No 8418/24'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, minimal damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
Height approx 39mm.
