SS Orion Orient Steam Navigation Company ships wheel badge

An exceptionally good circa post 1935 period 'S.S.Orion Shipping Line gilt and enamel pin brooch', the 'Orient Steam Navigation Company' enamelled house flag mounted to the centre of a ship's wheel. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains crisp.
Diameter approx 27mm.
'S.S.Orion' was in service for 'Orient Steam Navigation Company Shipping Line', she started her maiden voyage from Tilbury to Australia on 28th Sep.1935. In the Second World War 1941 she was requisitioned as a troop transport ship. She completed her last Australian voyage in May 1963.
