Ward Ltd Sheffield ARP air raid precautions warden badge', gilt brass blue enamel example, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London'. Good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no enamel loss, minor service wear.

Thos. W. Ward Ltd was a British business primarily working steel, engineering and cement. It began as coal and coke merchants, later expanded into recycling metal for Sheffield's steel industry and then the supply and manufacture of machinery.
