1951 Festival of Britain Owen Organisation participants badge British Racing Motors

A scarce original '1951 Festival of Britain The Owen Organisation participants badge'; silvered example inlaid with blue enamel depicting the 'BRM logo'; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.GAUNT LONDON'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, no damage to the enamel, silvered finish remains crisp. Height approx 26mm.
The Owen Organisation, led by Sir Alfred Owen and known for Rubery Owen, was a significant industrial participant in the 1951 Festival of Britain, notably exhibiting British engineering achievements like B.R.M. racing cars.
