A scarce original post 1929 period 'T.S.S. Strathmore souvenir ship's picture brooch', the reverse impressed 'MADE IN ENGLAND' 'STERLING SILVER' 'PT 202213'. Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, colours remain bright.
Diameter approx 27mm.
Requisitioned as a troopship in the Second World War transporting soldiers, including a large convoy to the Middle East.
