A good original circa pre-1958 'Warners Holiday Camp Dovercourt Bay gilt and enamel badge', in the form of a large shield depicting a panoramic view of the club house building flying a flag. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
Height approx 37mm.
'Warners Dovercourt Bay Holiday Camp, Essex' opened circa 1937, the camp was transformed into a military base during war and for several years during the 1980s used for outdoor scenes for the BBC comedy show Hi-de-Hi!
