1947 Liverpool County Stand Aintree racecourse horse racing club badge

A very scarce original '1947 Aintree racecourse Liverpool County Stand gilt and enamel pin badge' depicting the mythical symbol of Liverpool a 'Liver Bird' bearing a piece of laver seaweed in its beak, the front impressed with official issue number '1045', the reverse impressed with maker's details 'FRANK FATTORINI 48 GT HAMPTON ST B'HAM' and 'NOT TRANSFERABLE'. Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no enamel loss, gilt finish remains bright.
