London Aeroplane Club 1929 membership badge

A rare original 1929 to 1930 period 'London Aeroplane Club membership badge'; gilt and enamel example, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'W.O.Lewis (Badges) Ltd B'Ham' and with official issue 'No 83'. Very good condition, no damage to the enamel and complete with original cord.
Diameter approx 27mm.
The 'London Aeroplane Club' was opened by Sir Philip Sassoon in 1925. He was Secretary of State for Air, Honorary Commanding Officer of 601 (County of London) Squadron, nicknamed 'The Millionaires' Squadron.
