A scarce original circa 1940's period 'Royal National Lifeboat Institution Honorary Secretary badge'; large gilt metal blue enamel title circlet surmounted by a King's crown, the voided centre depicting an embossed lifeboat with full crew with blue enamel 'Honorary Secretary' scroll below; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'W.O.Lewis (Badges) Ltd B'Ham'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no defects to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright, an excellent example.
