Aer Lingus Irish Airline gilt and enamel officers cap badge

A rare original early post 1936 period 'Aer Lingus officers cap badge' large gilt brass laurel sprays combined with three leaf Shamrock, enhanced with green translucent enamel overlay. Very good condition, complete with original two loop fittings and split pin, no defects to the enamelling.
Height approx 48mm.
Aer Lingus was founded on 15 April 1936.
