A good original full sized silver male warden 'Air Raid Precautions badge', designed by sculptor 'Eric Gill', made at the Royal Mint and authorised in February 1937, the reverse bearing London silver hallmarks for 1938 (Letter C) and maker's details 'J.C' (Sir John Herbert McCutcheon Craig, Deputy Master and Comptroller of the Royal Mint from 1938). Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole contained in red square cardboard box, this with four split corners and scuffs. Colour may vary slightly on photograghs.
