2 Corps Formation Sign brass and enamel red salmon badge 'TOYE & Co Ld LONDON'

A scarce original circa 1940's period '2 Corps Formation Sign brass and enamel pin badge' in the form of three dark wavy blue bands on a white oblong, superimposed with a leaping red salmon; the reverse impressed with early style maker's details 'TOYE & Co Ld LONDON'. Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel intact, minor service wear.
Size approx 30 x 23mm.
2 Corps formed part of the British Expeditionary Force landing in France in October 1939, in April 1940 it moved forward to Belgium to meet the German invasion. The Corps returned to England via Dunkirk when the B.E.F. was withdrawn from the Continent.
