RMS Virginian Allan Shipping Line hand-painted enamel ships picture brooch

A rare original 'R.M.S. Virginian shipping line pin badge' launched in 1904 the centre bearing a hand painted enamel representation of the ocean liner passenger steamship within a ornate gilt fretted surround. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no stress marks or enamel loss, gilt finish remains bright.
Height approx 26mm.
