A good original circa 1929 period 'Severalls Mental Hospital nurses qualification silver pin badge'; blue enamel title surround, the centre depicting a red shield bearing the Essex County Coat of arms (three notched Saxon Seaxes) on embossed floral ground; the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1929 and maker's details 'W.H.H.'William Hair Haseler Birmingham' and inscribed to the recipient 'B.B. Nash 1927'. Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, minimal enamel defects.
