Mersey Motor Club Liverpool Members Lapel Badge pre-1916

A scarce original early turn of the 20th century 'Mersey Motor Club Liverpool lapel badge'; gilt brass enamel with tri-part blue enamel title surround, the centre depicting the mythical symbol of Liverpool, a 'Liver Bird' bearing a piece of laver seaweed in its beak; the reverse impressed with pre 1916 early makers details 'FATTORINI BOLTON'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright, an excellent example.
