WW2 County of Bedford Special Constable numbered badge

A good original circa Second World War period 'County of Bedford Special Constable lapel badge', chromium plated crowned blue enamel title circlet, the central disc with 'BSC' initials on red enamel ground, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent St. Birmingham' and official issue number '663'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel, minor service wear.
Height approx 34mm.
