Bobby Bear Club Daily Herald Newspaper Badge by Roden & Son London

A good original circa 1930's period 'Daily Herald Newspaper Bobby Bear Club pin badge' depicting the young male bear character based on the Steiff teddy bear that was popular at the time; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Roden & Son London'. Excellent condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.
Diameter 26mm.
The 'Bobby Bear Club' started in the early 1930s, you would received a 'Secret Rules' booklet revealing the secret sign to make to fellow 'Bear Cubs' which involved putting your first finger and thumb together to make an 'O' and putting both hands to make 'OO' like eyes.
