A scarce original circa 1940's period fine quality 'Somerset Light Infantry regimental association lapel badge'; blue translucent enamel gilt oval title surround, the voided centre bearing a representation of the cap badge, a bugle strung from Mural Crown with 'XIII' between the cords surmounted by 'JELLALBAD' battle honour scroll'; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.GAUNT LONDON'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, no stress maks or damage to the enamel, an excellent example.
