A scarce original 1930's promotional gilt and enamel song badge 'The Lambeth Walk', this version depicting the 'Pearly King and Queen' characters in orange and blue outfits; the reverse with maker's details 'H.W.MILLER LTD B'HAM18'. Excellent condition, complete with original coiled pin fitting and hook catch, enamel perfect, gilt finish remain bright.
Height approx 27mm.
'The Lambeth Walk' was a song from the musical 'Me and My Girl' first made popular in 1937 by Lupino Lane, The song took its name from a notable street market in Lambeth Walk, London. 'The Lambeth Walk' was turned into a film in 1939.
