Federation of Womens Institutes For Home and Country Lincoln WI badge

A scarce original circa 1940's 'National Federation of Women's Institutes badge'; gilt brass oval shaped example, the fretted centre bearing the 'WI' monogram, flanked by a red enamel rose and Canadian maple leaf, with motto 'For Home and Country' inlaid in green enamel over an additional scroll 'HOLLAND (LINCS)'; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent St. Birmingham'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel perfect.
