A rare original wartime period 'National Air Raid Precautions Animals silver plated lapel badge', red enamel title surround, blue cross to the centre, '. D.O.' (District Officer) title scroll below; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Vaughtons Ltd B'Ham' and unique official low issue number '6'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel.
