A scarce original circa pre 1931 period ' A.J.S. advertising pin badge'; gilt brass ova inlaid with dark blue enamel and bearing an early style logo; Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel intact. Width approx 31mm.
'A. J. Stevens & Co. Ltd' was a manufacturer of motorcycles and automobiles in operation from 1909 to 1931 with their headquarter in Wolverhampton. After the company was sold in 1931, the name continued to be used by 'Matchless Associated Motorcycles'.
