A very scarce original wartime period 'National Air Raid Precautions Animals silver plated badge, white enamel 'ANIMAL STEWARD' title scroll, blue cross to the centre, the reverse with maker's details "Vaughtons Ltd B'Ham" and official low issue number '258'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel.
Height 31mm.
