Phillips Cycles Renowned The World Over advertising badge

A good original pre-war 'Phillips Cycles promotional badge'; gilt brass two-part made example depicting the company 'Trade Mark' a lion on a plinth with the caption 'RENOWNED THE WORLD OVER on painted enamel backing, the reverse with embossed 'Prov Pat' markings. Good condition, complete with original safety pin fittings, minor wear to highpoints and painted enamel finish.
Height approx 31mm.
'Phillips Cycles Ltd' started in early 20th Century at 'Credenda Works, Smethwick, Birmingham'. It became part of 'Raleigh Industries' in the 1980's.
